Thank you for your interest in the 2019 Success in Graduate Writing Camp facilitated by the Writing Centers in University Academic Success Programs at Arizona State University.
Success in Graduate Writing Camp registration is open to any ASU student who is currently enrolled in a graduate certificate, master’s degree, or doctoral degree program or who will be enrolled by Fall 2019. The camp is intended for ASU graduate students who want an overview of the academic and research writing demands of graduate school.
The camp is scheduled for June 10-14, 2019 at the Downtown Phoenix campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The camp is limited to 60 seats, and a $50 program fee is required. A limited number of scholarships have been provided by the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA). Students who register will be notified if their fee can be covered by the scholarship.
The camp aims to introduce graduate students to the foundational skills needed to succeed as a graduate-level writer. Students will learn about the habits, strategies, and techniques that successful academic researchers and writers in any discipline use throughout the writing process. This camp is intended for a general graduate-level audience and discusses essential skills that can be applied to discipline-specific writing.
Please note that if you have already reached doctoral candidacy or are writing a doctoral prospectus, we recommend that you select one of the Dissertation Writing Camps. If you have any questions about which camp is best for you, please contact Nathan Cushing at 602-496-0364.
